One of our favourites, the Maison et Objet show, always leaves us brimming with inspiration and buzzing with excitement. With barely two days’ notice, we were on our way, Miley Cyrus’s Flowers and Joesef’s Moment in our ears on heavy repeat. And after a quick flight across the Channel, we were delighted to find this year’s show was no different.

Springtime brings to many of us a desire to enliven and update our homes. But how can I make my house look fresh?, you may ask. One of the easiest ways is the use of artwork, and bold striking pieces were a key trend this year. Fine art prints displayed in coloured frames could easily update a whole room. A great talking point, a work in bold primary colours nods also to this season’s comeback of the Memphis design movement.

Freshening up the look of a room needn’t require anything as significant as all new furniture, though. Objets d’art and table displays can easily lift your home décor- and pretty, playful tableware was another key trend.
